Elizabeth "Betty" A. Castle, 70, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Castle, daughter to John and Anna, was born in Patterson, NJ and raised in Little Falls, N.J., before moving to Toms River 40 years ago.
Betty was a dedicated registered nurse for 50 years who is fondly remembered as the School Nurse at the Ocean County Vocational School in Toms River for over 30 years as well as at The Homestead. She was a scuba diving enthusiast who loved everything about the ocean. Her favorite place was Cozumel, Mexico and the beauty of the coral reefs.
Mrs. Castle is survived by her Daughter Monica Matsakis and her husband Chris. She was the beloved Grandma to Henry and Elias; Sister to Jack Lach and wife Fran. Much loved friend of Matty, Patti, Sue, Andrea, Joanne and Linda. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 18th from 10:30 AM until the prayer service at 12:15 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. Betty will be laid to rest in Skokie, Illinois.
