Frank Falcetta of Bluffton, South Carolina (formerly of Toms River, New Jersey) died peacefully on November 9th, 2018. He meets his beloved wife, Angela Falcetta, many other friends and family in heaven. His two children, Mary Dortenzio and her husband Robert of Fairfield, CT and Francine Ciavolino and her husband Michael of Bluffton, SC, celebrate his life. His granddaughters Gabrielle, Mia, Michelle and Grace carry on his legacy.
As a parishioner at St. Joseph Church in Toms River before moving to Bluffton, he served as a lector, Eucharist minister, usher and a contributor to the St. Joseph Council. Frank received his B.S. in Education at William Patterson University and did his graduate work at Seton Hall University. Frank then went on to get his PhD in Education at New York University. He later served as an adjunct professor at Georgian Court University. Frank worked for 45 years in education at Toms River Schools as an elementary, intermediate and high school teacher, and also as an elementary school principal. In addition to his administration work in Toms River, Frank also served as a Guidance Counselor, Vice Principal at Hooper Ave Elementary School, and principal at East Dover Elementary School.
Frank is remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and was a loyal friend to many through both good and trying times. His personality and love of life was exemplified in his passion for the beauty of gardening. His laugh, smile and twinkle in his eye will always be unforgettable.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16th from 7 to 9 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
