Gloria Patricia Innes

Gloria Patricia Innes, 82, of Bayville, NJ, passed away on October 26, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on March 22, 1943, in the Bronx, New York, Gloria devoted her life to caring for others, spending many years providing compassion and comfort to the elderly and to those living with Alzheimer’s. Her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit touched countless lives.

Family was at the heart of everything Gloria did. She loved spending time surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her joy and laughter. To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Silly Grandma,” a name that perfectly captured her playful spirit, sense of humor, and boundless love for her family.

Gloria was predeceased by her beloved husband, David Innes, and her father, William Burke. She is survived by her loving children: Doreen Romanowski and husband Michael Romanowski, Dawn DeMorato and husband James DeMorato, Darlene Turner and husband John Turner, Deanna Brutnell and husband Tom Dwyer, and Shirlene Taskowitz.

She is also survived by her stepsister Sharon Burke, her Aunt Edna, and her cherished grandchildren: Cassandra, Christina, Roy Jr., Kristen, Andrew, LeeAnne, Thomas, Curtis, Mikayla, Emily, Audrey, Drew, and Courtney, along with her adored great-grandchildren.

Gloria will be remembered for her unwavering love, her nurturing heart, and her deep dedication to both her family and the people she cared for throughout her life. Her legacy of compassion, humor, and strength will live on through all who knew and loved her.

A private burial ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 8th.
