Hugh Murphy, Jr. passed away peacefully on August 3, 2020 on his 91st birthday. Beloved husband of Margo Murphy. Devoted father to Kathleen Licinski and Daniel Murphy, and son-in law Stanley Licinski. Dear brother of Robert Murphy. Loving grandfather to James Murphy, Jennifer Friscia, and Brian Licinski. Hugh served in the Armed Forces as a 1st Lieutenant.

He also worked as a Chemical Engineer for Bristol-Myer Squibb for more than thirty years and served as a Past Master, Chaplain, and Grand Chaplain for various Masonic Lodges throughout New Jersey.

Hugh loved lighthouses and travelled to many across the United States. He most recently served as Secretary to the New Jersey Lighthouse Society.

He always had a joke to tell and loved his family and dear friends. He will be missed by everyone that he knew and loved.

I couldn't have asked for a better Father. He was always there for me and my family. He always had a joke to tell and made all of our visits so memorable. You will be missed Dad. Rest in peace, and give Mom a big hug for me.
