
Prior to his retirement, he was a Chemical Supervisor for over 32 years at Hoffman LaRoche, Nutley. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1290, Nutley. Mr. Snyder was a multi-gallon blood donor for the NJ Blood Bank. He loved the beach and enjoyed volunteering, especially delivering books from the library to the elderly. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a generous supporter of several charitable organizations.
James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence Snyder; his children, Patricia Johnson and her husband Steve of Marlboro, James Snyder II and his wife Laura of Andover, and Diane Spitz and her husband John of Nutley; his grandchildren, Melissa, Steven, Michaela, Jimmy, Jessica and Jillian; and his sister, Nancy Mittlestadt of Portland Oregon.
Services were private under the care of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
