Jose Sucgang Gelito

Jose Sucgang Gelito, 76, a resident of Toms River for 30 years, died January 9th 2018. He was born June 18th 1941 to Clemente Gelito and Victoria Sucgang Gelito and grew up in his beloved hometown of Ibajay, Aklan, Philippines. Jose was a 20 year US Navy veteran and active member of the St Joseph RC Church community. He devoted his life to family, friends, and his deep faith in God.

Jose will be sadly missed by his wife of 44 years, Severa Blanco Gelito, his two children, Justin Gelito (fiance Tess Ryckman) and Tricia O'Sullivan (husband John O'Sullivan), and his three grandchildren, Christian, Jared, and Ellen O'Sullivan. He will also be lovingly remembered by his 6 siblings Dr. Carmen Sitjar, Rita Ticzon, Rev. Tito Gelito, Atty. Maria Cleofe Gelito, Grace Gelito, Hon. Ramon Gelito, his in-laws, and all their families and friends.

Visiting will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home. 703 Main St. Toms River. A Mass to celebrate his life will be held Monday, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Toms River.

In addition, a Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's RC Church in Ibajay, Aklan, Philippines to be followed by a Christian burial at the Ibajay Catholic Cemetery.
