Joseph Caruso, 86, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2020. He was born to the late Giuseppe and Margaret (Bolcato) Caruso in 1934 in the Silverton section of Toms River. Joseph was a truck driver and worked for the Ford Motor Company in Metuchen, NJ, for 42 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the UAW for 40 plus years. Joseph loved boating, crabbing, playing darts and horse shoes, and was a huge Yankees and Giants fan. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
Joseph was predeceased by his sons Joseph E. Caruso and George Robert Caruso, his daughter-in-law Deborah Caruso, and his grandson Garrett Caruso.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Rozanski) Caruso, and his children: Michael Thomas and Donna Caruso, Raymond David and Carrie Caruso, Mark Christopher Caruso, Gary Phillips and Wanda Campbell, Timothy J. and Christine Caruso, and Caryanne C. and Christopher Mine. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Joe, Jason, Michael, Kimberly, Chelsea, Ryan, Taylor, Alisha, Ka’la, Jake, Breanna, Matthew, Carlie, Katelyn, Christopher, Daniel, and Nicholas; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves to grieve his siblings, Dolores Simpson Arnold and Michael Caruso.
Cremation is private and under the direction of Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home of Toms River, NJ.
