Loleta P. Marfori, a retired anesthesiologist of Toms River, NJ, died August 22, 2016 after battling lung cancer for 5 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Fred Marfori. She is survived by her son Michael Marfori and his spouse Cynthia; her daughter Michelle Marfori D'Alterio and her spouse Christopher D'Alterio; her 6 grandchildren; and her 5 sisters. She will be greatly missed by her immediate family, in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews both here and abroad. The Wake Service will be on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. & 5-9 p.m. at Anderson Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Fred Marfori Memorial Scholarship Fund benefitting Donovan Catholic H.S. students, or to the Filipino Community Development Center in Toms River.
