Marie Brunt

Marie, the youngest of eight children was born in Elizabeth, NJ in 1924 and resided there until moving to Toms River NJ in 1961. While raising her family and living her life, Marie imprinted her selflessness, good humor and grace on everyone she touched. She worked for Western Electric in the 1940’s and as a sales associate for Cotton Land Fashions in the 1970’s, but it was always her extended family which consumed her time and her love. She created a home centered in kindness that was always open to everyone, which often meant being offered a piece of one of her home baked pies. The endearing memories of her have shaped the people who share them, and the world is truly a better place because of the time she was here.

Marie was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Raymond Brunt Sr. in 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Raymond Brunt and his wife, Pamela, of Wall, NJ; Patricia Suarez of Seminole, FL and former son-in-law, Kenneth Suarez, of Dover, FL; and Cathy Beach and her husband, Robert, of Seminole, FL. Marie’s greatest love was her seven grandchildren: Gregory Suarez and his wife, Meagan, of Tampa, FL; Sara De Andrea and her husband, Richard, of Toms River, NJ; Amanda Brunt of Wall, NJ; Garrett Suarez of Washington, DC; Alex Brunt of Wall, NJ; and Emma and Abbey Beach of Seminole, FL. She also enjoyed the companionship of her children’s pets: Isabella, Lily, Milo, Brady and Willow.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Arden Courts Memory Care of Seminole FL. The family will also be forever grateful to Suncoast Hospice for providing the compassion, comfort and invaluable care during her final days. There will be a memorial service celebrating her life later this year when restrictions permit.
