Marie Elizabeth Van Pelt

Marie E Vanpelt passed away on March 20, 2017 at Community Medical Center. She was a tough woman who fought a long and hard battle against lung cancer. Born in Pennsauken, NJ, Marie was full of life and enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, children, and granddaughter. She enjoyed nature and loved the outdoors. Marie worked as a nurses’ aide for many years and was also a full time mother. She recently lost her beloved sister Ruth Hawk. She is survived by her children Mike Vanpelt and Lisa Pisano, her grand daughter Brittany Harvill and grandson Robert Pisano. She is also survived by her brother in law Paul Hawk, her niece Sherry Hawk, and her nephews Clayton and Dwayne Creamer and Steven Hawk. Marie valued her family and loved spending time with them and living life to the fullest. She loved her church family and enjoyed going to Bible study. She loved being outdoors and taking walks with family and friends. She enjoyed bowling and going to Atlantic City to play the penny slots. Marie was caring and compassionate to everyone and she will be greatly missed.

Visiting will be held Friday, March 24 from 11:00 AM to1:00PM at the Anderson and Campbell funeral home, 703 Main St. Toms River. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, Toms River.
