Mary L. Cerami-Bell, 90, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on January 7, 2026. Born July 10, 1935, Irvington, New Jersey, to parents Harry and Mary Stahl, Mary was the eighth of nine children. Soon after high school, Mary married her husband, Richard W. Cerami. Within a few years, they moved to Toms River, NJ where they raised their six children.
While being a devoted stay at home mother, Mary helped establish and fill the role as secretary for the Cerami Lawns business. In addition, she was office manager for Richard Cerami Accounting Services.
Mary volunteered 18 Years at Birthright and later worked for the St. Joseph’s Church gift shop. Mary found joy being a member of the Red Hat Society where she met many friends. She also belonged to the Sew-N-Sew group. In her spare time, she could often be found with a crossword puzzle in hand or working diligently on a puzzle.
After the loss of her beloved first husband of 43 years, Mary felt blessed to have met her second husband, Donald Bell at the church bereavement group. She enjoyed several years of marriage before his passing.
Mary was a kind hearted, reserved woman. She had a warm, pleasant disposition, noticed by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her acquaintance. Mary was a devout catholic with unwavering faith. If you lost or misplaced something, she would pray to St. Anthony and when the item was found, she had no doubt it was the power of prayer.
Mary is survived by five sons and a daughter: Richard W. Cerami Jr. and wife Margo, Robert Cerami and wife Annette, Raymond Cerami and wife Dale, Gregory Cerami and wife Lisa, Gary Cerami and wife Lara and daughter, Diane Mastronardy and husband Michael.
Mary has 14 grandchildren (9 boys 5 girls) and 19 great grandchildren (12 boys 7 girls)
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate making a donation to an Alzheimer's association of your choice in memory of Mary or someone else you loved and lost.
