Nancy Ann Chidichimo (White) entered into her eternal rest peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on April 25, 2024, in Whiting, New Jersey, at the age of 80. She was born on August 10,1943, in Bayonne, New Jersey, she lived in Jersey City for many years before relocating to Kearny, New Jersey, and then finally settling in Whiting, New Jersey.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a passion for reading and listening to her beloved Barry Manilow. Nancy cherished spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Nancy will be forever held in the hearts of her loving family: her husband of 60 years Philip Sr, son Philip Jr. and his wife Rosemarie, daughter Laura Affinito and her husband Domenick, son Gerard and his wife Erica, nine grandchildren; Philip III ( Gina), Anthony, Brianna and Madison Affinito, Gerard Jr, Vincent, Jessica, Angelo and Brooklyn, sister Rosemarie Sheedy and her husband Joseph, brother-in-law Michael
Chidichimo and his wife Marie, sister-in-law Mary Signorelli and her husband Richard, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents John J. White and Agnes (Ward) and her sister Janice Nolan.
Nancy attended grammar school at St. Paul the Apostle School in Jersey City and high school at St. Dominic's Academy in Jersey City. She worked as an Office Manager for Baldwin Steel Company in Jersey City for 37 years before joining the Kearny Board of Education as a paraprofessional at Kearny High School.
Nancy was a parishioner at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church for 32 years. Among her greatest joys was watching and cheering on her children, and later her grandchildren whether at plays, dance recitals, sporting events, art shows, school concerts, or Improv. She loved celebrating holidays with family and friends, especially Christmas and her famous St. Patrick's Day celebration dinner which usually included 50 pounds of corned beef and her famous green jello. She looked forward to her annual vacation, cruising with her family and friends, in addition to trips to Hershey Park and Seaside Heights. Nancy was also an avid reader, loved her coffee, word searches, crossword puzzles, crocheting, and was a devoted fan of General Hospital.
Services for Nancy will be held at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, at 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ where relatives and friends can pay their respects on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 4 to 8 pm. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 29th, at 11:00 am at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in Kearny, NJ.
