Penny Lou Wilbert

Penny Lou Wilbert, 67, of Toms River, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Lakewood, she lived in Toms River, before moving to Forked River 46 years ago, then finally residing in Toms River.

Penny worked in the Housekeeping Department for Community Medical Center in Toms River for over 20 years before retiring in 2016.

Mrs. Wilbert was pre-deceased by her husband Norman "Skip" in 2005 and her father Harold “Pete” Cowdrick in 1990, and her mother Joan Cowdrick in 2015.

She is survived by her son, Norman "Skip" Wilbert and his wife Sara of Forked River; daughter, Amy Kling and her former husband Jimmy of Forked River; sister, Patricia Kotsifas of Whiting and a brother Harold “Pete” Cowdrick of Toms River. Her four grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Blake and Shayna, many beloved nieces and nephews.

Penny enjoyed spending time at home with her dog Sissy and her flower garden and her bird friends. She loved the simple things in life and her greatest enjoyment was her kids, grandkids and family.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
