Robert George Anderson, 67, of Toms River, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in New York City and after serving his country during Vietnam in the Army Airborne, he lived throughout the country as well as Colorado until settling in Toms River. He leaves behind his wife Sharon and children Robert George, Robert Scott, Samantha, Dawn and David as well as his brothers Gene, Johnny, Jimmy, sister Jewell also many grandchildren and extended family. He was devout to the Salvation Army as a Christian soldier assisting with Emergency Disaster Services and men’s devotional studies until his health had caught up. Even though his health had continued to diminish though the years he was proud of his family and the time he had borrowed.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, October 7 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River, with a service conducted by the Salvation Army at 4:00 p.m. followed by Military Honors.
