Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived there before moving to New Jersey several years ago.
Mr. Barker was employed as a carpenter for Ericksen Contracting, Staten Island.
He is Survived by his mother, Janet; his sister, Deborah Ericksen; his brother, James Barker; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were held on April 16, 2014 at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
Cremation was private.
