Ruth Devivi

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Michael Devivi; and her son, Mark Devivi and his wife, Helen; her grandchildren, Jessica, Mark A., Angelina, Michael, and Mia; her sister, Barbara Dercole and her husband, John; her brothers, Robert Oshiro with his wife, Frances, and Donald Oshiro with his wife, Wendy; her sister-in-law, Colette Oshiro; her daughter-in-law, Heather Devivi; her nephews, Robert Oshiro with his wife, Jessica, Brian Oshiro with his wife, Kristi, David Sabolochick with his wife, Jennifer, Jason Sabolochick with his wife, Page, and Keith Oshiro; her niece, Nicole Francavilla; her closest friends, Ilona, Jackie, Maureen, Rose Marie, Crista, Melissa; as well as many relatives, friends, and her beloved dog, Charlie.

Ruth is predeceased by her son, Mike Devivi; her brother, Henry Oshiro; her sister, Violet Oshiro; her brother, Dieter Mueller; and her parents, Tony and Ann Oshiro.

Ruth was born in Newark, NJ. She married her husband, Michael at 18, and had two sons, Mike and Mark. She spent the earlier years as a mother and home-maker. She then went to the Nancy Taylor Secretary School in Edison, NJ and spent her career working as a unit secretary at nursing homes until retirement. She and her husband retired in Toms River, NJ, where they spent their golden years together.

A viewing will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ 08755.

There will be a funeral procession on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services to the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, all those who wish to participate are kindly asked to arrive to the funeral home no later than 8:30 AM.

A graveside service will be held at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562, at 10:00 AM.
