Shirley L. Kruse

Shirley was born on September 26, 1945 in Newark, NJ to Lillian A. Dennis and Pierson Leroy Dennis. She grew up with her two brothers, Stewart Dennis and Robert Dennis. She graduated from East Side High School, Newark, NJ along with her lifelong best friend, Kathleen Froehlich.

She got married to her husband Walter Edward Kruse on July 30, 1965. They had two children and lived in Edison, NJ. She was very proud of her years of work for Daka Catering Company, as a manager of the food service that served thousands of students in Edison Twp. Schools.

Shirley is survived by her older brother Stewart, 84; her daughter, Dawn E. DeVestern and husband William, granddaughters Deanna and Dana; son John E. Kruse and wife Jessica, grandson Ian and granddaughter Gabrielle.

She is predeceased by her husband Walter, Mother Lillian, Father Pierson, and Brother Robert earlier this year 2020.

Shirley requested no public service and cremation upon death.

A Family Memorial will be private on a future date and time TBD.
