Steven Ralph Sprague was born on September 3, 1954 in Russo's Maternity Home in Toms River, NJ, to the late Ralph and Dorothy Tilton Sprague of Cedar Run, NJ. Steven worked in a form of construction and heavy equipment operator prior to his retirement, and a majority of that time with Sambol Construction.
Steven leaves behind to cherish his memory his dear friend Peggy Smith and her son and family, his sisters, Judith C. Sprague Cosaboom (Tom) and Lorraine Sprague Sloan (Butch deceased). Casey Daniels and family, Nikki and Abby Sprague, nephews James Cosaboom Jr. (Kimberly), David Littleford (Mary Ann), James Littleford (Amanda), Butch Sloan (Christine), Kevin Sloan (Michelle) and nieces, Bonnie Cosaboom Mathewson (John deceased) and Jayne Cosaboom DiCicco (Nick). There are a host of grand nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his very special dog Mapleberry. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Steven Nathaniel Sprague in 2008. A private family gathering will take place at the Anderson-Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River. Following cremation and at a chosen time his ashes will be scattered in the beautiful ocean that he loved.
