Susan M. Volk, age 62 of Toms River, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was born in Brookhaven, New York and lived throughout the country during her father’s military career before settling in Toms River in the early 70’s. Susan was a security guard at Deborah Heart and Lung Center for 8 years and prior to that Community Medical Center for 10 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Gerard and Noreen McVicar; and her brother Jerry McVicar.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph Volk and her three children Christine, Eric and Robert; her grandson, John Cataldo, Jr.; and her two brothers, Wayne and Carl McVicar.
Memorial Visitation will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 1-5pm with a Memorial Service at 3pm at the Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services 1329 Route 37West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
