

Virginia (nee: Bleckman) Wieskus, 81, of Berkeley Township section of Toms River, passed away on January 11th. Known as Ginnie to all that knew her, she was surrounded by her loving nephew (Michael Wieskus) and nieces (Penny Gastman and Nicole Palagano) and her loving God, as she was called to eternal life.
Ginnie was the dearly beloved wife of the late William “Billy” Wieskus. She was the bright light to so many, always up for a good time, a good laugh and a lottery ticket.
She is survived by sisters Barbara (Ed) Gustenhoven, Edith (Joe) Brenner, Lois Folk, brother Donald Bleckman, sister-in-law Sandra Wieskus and stepdaughter Kimberly (Wieskus) Kassel. She is also survived by a large, loving extended family of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She had many dear friends who loved her as well. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Kathryn and Lloyd Bleckman, and siblings Kathryn Moini, Peggy Hans, Dorothy “Dotsie” Reigert, Carol Jean Bleckman, Teddy Bleckman, Lloyd “Sonny” Bleckman, Arthur Bleckman and Bobby Bleckman.
While she is in her final resting place, we can all hear her say “Here’s to the girl who wore red shoes.”
Funeral mass will take place at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church on Mule Road in Toms River on Thursday, January 15th at 9:30 am with burial at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ, immediately to follow.
