

William E. Groenendaal, 92, of Toms River, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Bey Lea Village, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, he resided in North Arlington for 25 years before retiring to Brick. Bill was a supervisor for Westinghouse, Jersey City for many years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran during WW II and a member of VFW Post 8867, Brick. Bill was predeceased by his wife Helen M. in 1991; his brothers John G. Groenendaal and Adrian C. Groenendaal; his sisters Katherine G. Groenendaal and Sister Mary Adrian SC; nephew Richard Adrian Sause and his son-in-law Michael W. Roe Sr. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen M. Roe and his grandson Michael W. Roe Jr. and his wife Desiree’. Visiting will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A mass of Christian burial to celebrate Bill’s life will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
