Andrew Grover

We are heartbroken. Our beautiful, funny, mischievous, loving, 3-year old boy has died, suddenly and unexpectedly.

Andrew was a kid who had endless energy and loved to take our couch apart to build forts, who gave the best hugs ever, who spilled his milk at least every day, who had just moved into a big boy bed and mastered potty training, who often got into the middle of his sisters’ games and wrecked them, and just as often got them jumping on the couch with him. He loved superheroes and stories and playing cars. He stood on his chair when he ate dinner – that is, if he wasn’t working his way onto a nearby lap.

Andrew – we all miss you: Mommy and Daddy (Stephanie and Patrick), sisters Kate and Beth, as well as Coolie, Grandpa and Erin, Kelly, Floyd and Avery, Grampy and Sheila, Heather and Niels, and many many more friends and family members.

If you have fond memories of Andrew we would enjoy reading them here or in an email to us. Please no flowers – if you would like, consider making a donation in Andrew’s name to Right to Play or another charity of your choice.

Dear Patrick, Stephanie and family,

What an appalling tragic loss the weight of the world on your shoulders now, there is no suffering that can compare with it and only another parent who has suffered such a terrible blow can know the extent of your grief. We never knew Andrew but can tell how much he was loved by all and the great chasm he leaves behind.
Our sincerest condolences to you,

Margaret and Roy Fox

I loved watching Andrew grow from the tiny, sleeping babe in a carrier, to the strong, smiling boy in the bike seat. From the brief moments our family shared with him, and the stories I've heard and read, it's obvious that Andrew was a very special child who touched the hearts and lives of everyone who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him. He will be remembered. And he will be missed. Our hearts ache for your family.

Dear Steph, Pat, Kate and Beth,

We are not able to see you very much because we live so far away. But, the girls and I remember seeing and holding Andrew when he was first born and then a little later at Grandma and Grandpa's cabin in Newfoundland when we all had fun with a whoopie cushion.

We feel that you are like family to us and when you are hurting we wish we could make it better. Countless prayers, hugs and kisses sent your way.

Dear Stephanie, Pat, Kate and Beth, I have been at a loss for words this past week, trying to find a way to say how sorry and heartbroken I am, but realize there are no words...I can't imagine what you're going through and wish there was a way to help.
Andrew made it easy for me to go to work everyday. His smiling face and personality brightened up the room..he will be missed so very much, by everyone !
Have faith that he is still with you. xo

With Love,
