It is with great sadness that I, Maureen Elliott announce the passing of my mother Barbara Jane Elliott (nee Turner) on May 1st, 2025, at the age of 96. Predeceased by her husband Ronald Bruce Elliott and Her daughter Laurie Marie Elliott.
My mother was a devoted wife and a wonderful caring mother and confident. Her laughter could make anyone as joyous as she was.
I especially appreciate the last 12 years of her living close to me where we spent many lunches and evenings reminiscing about old family trips and events. The memories of those times will always make me smile.
I would like to extend my thanks to the Chartwell Avondale and Michael Garron Hospital staff and nurses at both institutions that took great care in looking after her and making her stay with them as comfortable as possible.
My mother’s wishes were that there be no funeral or memorial service. Her hope was that you give your loved ones a hug and think of those less fortunate by donating to one of the following charities, The Canadian Alzheimer’s Society, National Service Dogs or the charity of your choice.
