Basil,
He was instrumental in assembling our “crew” from Pearson days; all seven of us were very quiet and were still trying to adjust to the new country. Basil brought us together and has been in our lives ever since. It's been 24 long years we have been friends; he was in there for our good times and specially and whole heartily for the bad ones.
 
Those were good days we were just finishing up high school, care free and looking forward for the next chapter in our lives. Basil was soo cool and he was the attraction, he was smart always full of charm and lively. He drove one of the most popular cars of the time a Black 2 door Z 24 he loved to roar the engine and excited the people around. 
 
It's still fresh in my mind the day he took me to meet Kiran at her school, I salute Kiran for her commitment and care she provided to Basil.
 
Basil is a person when he commits to something he would pour all of his energy to get it done. One time when I was moving to a second floor apartment we could not bring the sofa through the stairs so he brought it over the balcony.
 
He is a committed friend who was willing to help any time of the day. Every time we met as a group he would recite all the good and funny things happened over the years.
 
It's a big shock and quiets an adjustment thinking Basil won't be there with us to share all the good stories and make us laugh.
 
Good bye my dear friend we will dearly miss you.
