Boyd Lloyd John McCoy

Boyd is survived by his mother Gwen McCoy and siblings Floyd, Michelle and Rachel. His nieces and nephews, Elijah, Antonio, Emma, Leah, Caleb, Isabella and Jonah.

He is predeceased by his father Lloyd McCoy on December 2020.

Boyd will be remembered as loving, charismatic, funny, goofy, caring and simply full of life. He enjoyed being with family, friends, his dog Roxy and had a passion for computers and programming. He loved playing with his nieces and nephews, sometimes kicking a ball, playing catch, playing with balloons or playing video games.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear, the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Boyd may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace and the light of his enduring love.

Boyd’s time on this earth was short, but he left behind many loving memories to all that knew him. As we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

Family and friends may gather at Jerrett Funeral Home "Scarborough" 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, ON M1K 2B5 (just south of Eglinton Ave. E.) on Tuesday August 20, 2024 from 4PM to 8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will occur at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church, 3150 Danforth Ave., Scarborough, ON M1L 1B6 (just east of Victoria Park Ave. and west of Pharmacy Ave.) on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at 10AM.

Boyd will be laid to rest at Christ the King Cemetery, 7770 Steeles Ave. E., Markham, ON.

A celebration of life will be held at 5 Massey Sq - Party room, Toronto, ON M4C 5L6 after the funeral.
