Just learned of Bryan's passing today. I had the absolute pleasure of working with him at Borden Ladner Gervais. Always a kind, sharing man. I can only imagine the loss you must be feeling.

I am truly sadden to hear of Bryan's passing.  Heaven received two angels on May 30th, 2015 as my father's funeral services were held on that day at 2 pm as well.  Heaven is an awesome place and I am sure they are resting and looking down on us and smiling.  I extend my sincere condolences to the family and pray for strength as we grieve the transition of our loved ones.

Although I am sad th hear of his passing I am still smiling when I remember the delight he had and gave all when he read the poem he had composed for Monica at her Birthday Party. And again the way he beamed when he share the news of expecting to be a grandfather.

I met Bryan in business several years ago and will always remember, from a business perspective, his sharp intellect, his creative ideas, his ability to tread fearlessly on new ground and his great communications skills. From a personal perspective, I found that Bryan had an affable personality, a very good-natured approach to life and, above all, the most warm and welcoming smile. I enjoyed our chats and was always happy to see him in our meetings. I thought of him as a gentle giant.

May he rest in peace and may you be blessed with the strength to carry on in a manner with which he would be pleased.

In this world, there are people, and then there was my brother Bryan.

One of a kind, humble, kind, loving, giving, and the most genuine human being one could meet. He treated everyone as his equal. He didn't care if you were the janitor or the queen of England. Everyone was royalty in Bryan's eyes. 

Bryan always had a smile on his face - even on days when you knew he might not have been feeling his best.

There wasn't a person that met you that didn't just love you.

Bryan, when I told you I love you like a brother, I meant it, and I'm glad I got to know you so well. You, my friend, were a true gentleman, and I hope those you touched try to emulate your qualities.

I'm going to miss our chats and your big brother hugs; making you laugh, and hearing that laugh; our email exchanges, sharing articles we discovered; and your little pink laptop.

I'll never see turmeric or bananas without thinking of you.

I'll always remember watching you fold yourself to get into my Beetle, and us all laughing and saying we would put your head through the sunroof so you could fit.

It's going to be hard to say goodbye, my friend, so I'll say so long.

Bryan, ahead of me at Saints, was more of an inspiration than a friend as we faced the changing times in the 1960s and 1970s that would see him eventually settle in Canada.

He is one of the people I hoped to see when I travel to Toronto for the month of August to be with my family and catch up with people I haven't see for decades. In addition to chatting, I wanted to confirm that my memory was correct about a black antique car they had around that time.

and I wanted to tell him how much looking at how he and his family went about their business helped me to chart my own course.

May he rest in peace and his family find the peace to celebrate who he was..

I first me Bryan when we both worked at the Public Archives of Canada in the late 1970s. He moved to a records management position at Transport Canada and then joined the Metro Toronto Records and Archives Team, as the Records Centre Manager. It was interesting to see his thinking transition from traditional information management to becoming a thought leader in knowledge management.
After I left Canada, Bryan and I stayed in touch with emails and Skype calls.  Whether in person or online Bryan's humour and intellect made each re-connection a joy.
I am grateful for having him as a friend and colleague and will miss him greatly. My sympathy to his friends and family.
