I met Carol during my graduate studies in the Trimble lab. What I valued the most from my time there was not everything science related that I learned from her but most importantly her kindness and friendship. She was the heart of the Trimble lab and at the same time her passion for life outside of the lab was inspiring. Her influence on my life has been nothing but positive and for that I am eternally grateful to have met you, Carol. I send my my deepest condolences to John and Carol's family.

Here is one of our many food adventures.

I met Carol when I was a student in the Trimble lab and she became my good friend and mentor. Our lab benches were beside each other and I remember spending my days doing science, sharing stories, talking and laughing with Carol. She was so intelligent and incredibly kind and generous. She would help me learn any scientific technique and was always there to listen and offer help and encouragement. Just being in her presence made things better. I am so grateful to have known her and offer my deepest condolences to her family.
