This photo was taken a few years ago. This is how I remember Cheryl. She was my "cool cousin" when I was growing up. I'm sorry Rocco and family for your loss. She will be missed.

Cheryl came to live with us when she was about four years old until she was eleven or so. Her Aunt Glenna and I were like older sisters because there was only nine years difference in our ages. After she had moved back with her father and stepmother, she visited often. The next year she expressed a wish to sleep over Christmas Eve and her grandmother said that would be fine but she guessed Cheryl would have to sleep in the bathtub because there'd be a full house. Mom meant it as a joke but Cheryl got so excited about the prospect! She wanted to sleep in the bathtub! After showers were taken, the space dried up, Mom piled in pillows and blankets and a very happy Cheryl was bedded down in the tub awaiting a visit from St. Nick. Incidentally, a very few years before we were all amazed she believed in Santa and asked her about it. Her response was, "Not really, but if I said 'no' it would disappoint Grammy and Grampy." Such a thoughtful little girl. We loved her!
