January 20, 1951 – October 20, 2026
Our beloved mother, wife, sister, and Lola Maymay was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by love, generosity, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to others.
She was so much more than the roles she carried. She was the heart of our family, a source of comfort and strength, and a blessing to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a beautiful way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. To her, caring for others came naturally. She embraced everyone with an open heart and welcomed them into her home and her life as if they had always been family.
As a wife to our Deydey, she was a partner in love and life. As a mother, she was a constant source of guidance, comfort, and unconditional love. As a sister, she shared the special bond of family, and as a Lola, she gave her grandchildren a love that was tender, generous, and unforgettable. Her love knew no limits, and her family was always at the center of her world.
She expressed her love in countless ways - more beautifully through her cooking. She was a terrific cook who knew that food was more than something to serve at the table—it was a way to bring people together, to comfort, to celebrate, and to show love. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and abundance, where no one was ever a stranger and no one ever had to leave hungry. Every meal she prepared carried a little piece of her heart, and the memories of gathering around her table will forever be treasured.
A natural teacher, she shared her wisdom and taught through her words, her actions, her patience, and the example she set every day. She left lasting impressions on the many lives she touched.
What made her truly special was her ability to make everyone feel like they belonged. Friends became family, guests became loved ones, and those who crossed her path were met with warmth and generosity. She never needed a reason to care for someone or an invitation to offer help. Her heart was simply big enough to make room for everyone.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who love her, her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the meals that will be remembered, the lessons she taught, the traditions she created, and the love she gave freely. We will see her in the gathering of family, in the sharing of food, in the kindness we extend to others, and in every moment when we make someone feel welcome and loved.
Her life reminds us that the greatest legacy is not measured by what we possess, but by how deeply we love, how generously we share and how many lives we touch along the way. By that measure, her life was extraordinary.
She was our mother, our wife, our sister, our Lola, our teacher, our nurturer, and our home. Although we can no longer hold her hand or hear her voice, we will carry her love with us always.
Rest peacefully, our beloved Lola Maymay. Thank you for loving us so completely. You gave so much of yourself to this world, and your love will continue to live through every person you touched.
You will forever be missed, forever cherished, and forever loved. Your place in our hearts will never be empty, because everything you gave us will remain.
Until we meet again, may you rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the same boundless love you gave so freely to all of us.
