November 7th, 1935 – November 10th, 2025
It is with love and sadness that we share the passing of Clifford “Cliffy” Parkinson, who left us peacefully after celebrating his 90th birthday, a milestone he was determined to reach.
Cliffy was a proud Englishman and a devoted husband to Iris for 60 years. He was a loving father to Karen, who fondly referred to him as “Big Guy,” a nickname that was just between the two of them, and to his son Jason (Silvia). He was also a proud grandfather to Olivia. Cliff worked for the TTC, driving the 506 Carlton line, a job he took great pride in and spoke about often.
But his greatest love in life was Iris. Their life together was defined by quiet devotion, and even in his final days, his love and concern for her never faded.
Cliffy will be remembered for his sharp wit and stubborn charm. He was strong, funny, and full of character, and his presence will be missed every day.
In keeping with his wishes for simplicity, he will be cremated, and the family will gather privately to honour his life.
Dad, you are forever in our hearts.
