My Mom was the most dedicated & loving mother any child can wish for and together with an outstanding Father, we were blessed.
She has gone to be with Dad, Michael, Uncles John, Mannie, Brian, Mac, Aunts Jenny, Estelle, our Grans, and others and she has taken our messages to all of them that they may be gone, but we still hold their thoughts dearly and remember all of the influences they had in making our lives joyous.

NATALIE - For My Loving Granny
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Natalie.  I am the eldest grandchild.  I want to say a few words in memory of my Gran.
My Gran was a strong-willed, independent, stubborn woman.  She never liked to be the centre of attention, but enjoyed the company of family and friends.  In life and now in death she wouldn't want us to focus on her, and wouldn't want us to focus on the sadness of her death, but instead focus on the happiness in our lives.  Appreciate each other and our future. My loving Granny will always be remembered by those of us who knew and loved her. Although we miss her, her smile, her laughter, we take comfort in the good feelings of our memories.  I remember when I was a young girl; my Aunt Carol went on a trip. She took with her some green Palmolive dish liquid. That dish liquid was put inside a Triaminic cough syrup bottle. You know the one with the little green man on it. When Aunt Carol returned from her trip the bottle went in the cupboard. One day my Cousin Amanda and I got really sick and we're coughing a lot. My loving Gran reached into the cupboard and pulled out that Triaminic bottle, not realizing the dish liquid was inside. Amanda and I ran away from Gran, and Gran chased us around the house. She told us if we don't drink the medicine she will give us licks.  Gran poured that so called cough syrup onto; not a teaspoon, not a tablespoon, but a big serving spoon, and we drank the syrup crying our eyes out. Bubbles were coming out of every Orpheus. Come on people, I mean mouth and nose.  Needless to say our insides were very soft and super clean as freshly washed dishes. Gran did eventually taste the medicine herself and she did feel very bad, but a few years later we look back and laughed at the silly things we did. 
I hope that everyone here remembers how truly special my Gran was.  Treasure the memories that you have of her, and I know, you too will feel her with you as I do. 
Gran I will always miss you, but I have so many amazing memories to hang onto. You were a role model, a friends, your guidance and love will carry me through to the end of my days.  I love you Gran, until we meet again.

Carol – My Thoughts of Mom

When the opportunity to say a scripture was requested, I thought I would look for a scripture that most exemplified my mother.   
She was really a gift of God's grace to her children and grandchildren. Mom's way of caring, love, and affection was demonstrated not in word but mostly deed..
She was always busy cooking and baking, and when you were sick, running after us.  She showed humility, patience, temperance, respect, and energy before youth.   Happiest most when she was surrounded by family playing games for hours.  
Her complaint-closet was probably small - because she did not spend much time in it.  Whether good or bad occurred - she plowed on.   In the last few months, long suffering in patience was her cup.  I think she probably will not have to adjust too much in heaven.  
The scripture I chose was - Romans 12:9 Love must be sincere.  
- Hate what is evil.  Cling to what is good.  Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.  Honor one another above yourselves.  Never lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving The Lord.  
- Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Share with Gods people who are in need.  Practice hospitality......  If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

We are so sad that you are not around anymore but we know that you are in a far better place. We will miss playing board games, walking down the boardwalk, and having picnics at the bluffs. We will never forget the way you would say" Sorry Richard" so vindictively, while playing games together. We had such a great time of laughter! 
You were a remarkable example of the Proverbs 31 woman.  You had such a gentle, quiet spirit and never quarreled or provoked anyone. You always put the other persons interests above your own.  You truly exemplified what it meant to be thoughtful and considerate. You taught me so many valuable lessons in life!  I will carry your memory with me wherever I go.Gran
because you made the decision to follow Jesus and made Him Lord of your life, you are now in the presence of the Almighty where there is fullness of joy and peace everlasting.  One day Gran, I too will come face to face with my God and Savior Jesus, who called me out of the pit and saved me from my sins, and we will be re-united and worship  Jesus for an eternity.
You will always be in our hearts Gran!

Though I had been preparing myself for the inevitable sitting there with you Gran, rubbing your feet holding on to your hand, the conversations we had, you telling me it will be ok, stop fussing over me and look after yourself and the family.  It is never easy when it happens Gran, you were a great part of my life and had a large protion of my heart, but I know you are looking down on us from heaven and saying please take comfort cz I am with the lord now.

Gran We will always miss you, but we have so many wonderful memories to hang on to.  You were our role model, a friend.  Your guidance and love will carry us through to the end of our days.  We love you Gran very deeply, you will never ever be forgotten.  Until we meet again my dearest Granny.  We love you.

I have been thinking a great deal about everything that Aunt Cora has meant to me over my life. I remember the great meals she would cook, the delicious baking. I remember all the quiet love I accepted as a given, and the support in tough times. I will miss her always. Thank you, Aunt Cora for being the person you are.

Arlene, Brian, Carol and families,

I can imagine there is no worse time than the loss of a mother and grandmother, but it should fill your hearts to know that the love she was surrounded by is a tribute to the kind of woman she was and the kind of life she lived.  

I am so grateful that I was able to spend a short visit with her recently and witness it in part, with her loving granddaughters.

 I am so sorry for your loss..  I am away and can't be there on Friday,but I would like you to know my thoughts are with you. 
 I have very good memories of auntie Cora. Some very old memories in Guyana when we were all just children.
She was always soft spoken and kind. I never saw her miserable despite the heartbreak in her life. She always had a smile. 
I know the last couple of months were difficult for her,and I know she is at peace now.  May you have comfort from the memories you have.  Rest In Peace auntie,
