Corcelle Jack, age 81, passed away on May 10, 2026 at 11:30am after a brief and hard battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on March 24, 1945, in Barrouallie, St. Vincent, and a resident of Toronto, Ontario, she will be remembered with profound respect and enduring affection. A woman of immense character-devoted to prayer, God, her faith, and her family.
Before immigrating to Canada in 1977, Corcelle was a school teacher in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Her commitment to learning and to the wellbeing of others was evident early on, and it remained a constant thread throughout her life. After becoming Canadian, Corcelle took a keen interest in the Toronto Blue Jays in the early years and the Toronto Raptors in the latter.
Corcelle found meaning and comfort in the rhythms of home: cooking meals, sewing, and gardening. Yet it was in the way she looked out for family members near and abroad that her generosity shone most clearly. She was a “parent” to many long before she experienced the personal joy of parenthood herself, with her pride and joy, Alex Andrews (Diona).
May she be the guardian angel to her grandson Amari with another grandchild on the way. Beloved sister of Clairwen Jack, Jeanette Jack, Ulpian Jack, Brensley Jack and Margarita Evans.
Visitation will be held at Delmoro Funeral Home, 61 Beverly Hills Drive, Toronto, ON, M3L1A2, CA, on May 29, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
