Courtney St. John Scott

7 April, 1955 – 11 March, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Jerrett Funeral Homes - Scarborough Chapel

Courtney St. John Scott was born on April 7, 1955, in Kingston, Jamaica. He peacefully passed away on March 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and love for his family and community.

Courtney made his home in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, where he spent many years building a life for himself to provide for his family. As a skilled drywall taper, he worked for Eldom Drywall Ltd, Torino Drywall, Cobell Interiors Ltd., and Select Drywall Acoustics Ltd, and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to all who knew him.

Courtney had a vibrant personality and a passion for many things. He enjoyed music, horse racing, cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays, the Toronto Raptors, watching The Simpsons, cooking meals, and spending time with others. One of his greatest joys was helping people and seeing those around him succeed. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand or offer encouragement.

Above all, Courtney loved his family. He leaves behind his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, and his beloved children: Camille and her husband Carl, Tricia, Rohan and his wife Applyen, Nadine, and Nakeisha. He was also a proud grandfather to sixteen grandchildren: Ikedah Shaquille, Shemar, Raven, Jaheim Cavel Jr, Jada, Ahron, Jayden, Justyn, Davy, Robyn, Kyra J, Kayla, Davianna, Nicyro, and two great-grandchildren, Chrisanya and Chrisanique, who will continue to carry his memory and love forward.

Courtney will be remembered for his love for good vibes, music, dancing, kindness, his laughter, and his desire to see others do well in life. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Your presence and support mean so much during this difficult time. If you feel led to further support the family, instead of flowers, contributions toward funeral expenses would be deeply appreciated and can be made via GoFundMe https://gofund.me/657978e68

His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.

Visitation will take place at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON, M1K2B5, CA, on April 11, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by the Funeral Service at Jerrett Funeral Homes, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in the chapel.
