He was not just a poet, he was a human who attempted to capture the meaning of being. I recall him responding to my explanation of my philosophical quest after "what is choice?"; he said: "Choice is life saying I am friction, watch me ..."  I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing, but he will live on as the inspiring friend that we knew.

Never forgotten a brave strong person, just taken too soon

It's way too soon for Danvil to be gone. There's a song that played the last time I saw him and it always reminds me of him - Gary Newman's Are Friends Electric? Well, Danvil was. He had such a big heart, he'll be missed by so many. My condolences to his family and friends. RIP Danvil. xo

Danvil was such a force of nature! A passionate cook and lover of music and always with a great quip about life. Gone far too soon and he will be greatly missed! My deepest sympathies to his family.

Was just told tonight of Danvil's passing. I'm still in shock, the year I spent in Toronto in 08-09 I would always visit him in mcveighs. We kept contact on Facebook after I returned to Ireland and I had hoped to catch up for a beer with him if I got back to the city next year. Made me feel at home in a new city and always had a smile on his face when I seen him. Danvil you will be missed brother. Hail hail and rest in peace. Condolences to all those who were close to him.

Danvil was more than a friend from school days he was my brother, and a wonderful uncle figure to my son, and I had the honor & pleasure to be part of his family.  He introduced me to so many things from good food, and drink concoctions to great music, and his paintings and poetry were always moving. He will forever be in my and my families hearts.
