It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Barry Hadjis, whom passed away peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital on September 30, 2026, at the age of 82. His kindness, generosity, and unmistakable presence will live on in all those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
David was born in Hamilton, Ontario, but spent most of his life in Toronto, a city he was proud to call home.
Dave was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Theresa Hadjis, and his brother, William Hadjis. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his daughter, Leigh Hadjis; his son, Shane Gaudet, and his wife, Jasmine; and their children, Cailyn and Joey, who knew him as Dedo.
He is also survived by his brother, Nick Hadjis, and his wife, Neda; their son Alexander, his wife, Kathryn, and their daughters, Elise and Blythe, who affectionately knew him as Dedo Dave; as well as his sister, Loraine Wilson, her husband, Harvey, and their children, Chandra and Aaron, and Aaron’s partner, Cheryl.
Dave was one of the kindest and most generous men you could ever have the privilege of knowing. To his family, he was so much more—a hero, a rock, and a constant source of love and support. He was always there when someone needed him, ready to lend a hand, share a story, or simply spend time together.
Known to many as “The Hawk,” Dave loved golf, playing pool, cheering on his hometown sports teams, and attending live sporting events whenever he could. But more than any game, golf course, or pool table, Dave treasured spending quality time with his family and the people he loved.
