Dina Maria Cassano

Surrounded by those she held most dear, one of the loveliest souls on earth gently passed away in her 96th year on December 27th, 2017. Tender in spirit and kind of heart, Dina was, and will always remain the pillar of strength for her family. Loving wife of the late Antonio Cassano. Precious mother to Teresa (Domenico), Marcella, Marisa, Joe (Cathy), Jenny (Angelo), Isa (Jim), Lori (James) and Peter (Laura). Adored grandmother of Daniele, Candace, Antonio, Joseph, Michael, Anthony, Stefanie, James, Stephen, Amanda, Dina, Terra, Jamie, Julia, Natalia and Piero.

Preceded in death, by her siblings, Francesca(Domenico), Vanda(Pasquale) and Nicola(Giuseppina) and her sisters in law, Michelina(Vincenzo), Gemma(Pietro). Dina’s legacy of love and light will live on in all those who were blessed with the gift of having known her. Gratitude and appreciation to Dr. L. Adcock, Dr. C. E. McMurran, Jean Domingo(VON), Silvana Fortini(PSW) and Aida Bozha (CCAC) that gave Mom such outstanding care.

Family and friends will be received at Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave, West (1 block east of Dufferin), Toronto on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 2pm – 8pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1118 St. Clair Ave, West, Toronto on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10am. Entombment at Westminister Cemetery and Mausoleum, at 5830 Bathurst St, North York. In lieu of flowers a small donation to Sick Kids, The University Health Network or to a nursing home facility of your choice would be appreciated. Thank you. The Cassano Family
