With heavy hearts, the family of Domenico Mercuri announce the peaceful passing of a beloved husband, father and Nonno with his family by his side, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the golden age of 93.
Born on April 27, 1929 in Platania, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy. Beloved and devoted husband to Raffaela for over 66 years. Loving father to Rosa (Michele), Maria (Domenico) and Antonietta. Devoted Nonno to Vito (Anna), Domenic, Savina & Jessica. Adoring great-grandfather to Alessia & Michael. Dear brother to Antonio (Italina),Rosina (Pasquale) and Angelina (Nicola). Domenico will be reunited in heaven with his brothers Raffaele (Pasqualina) and Vincenzo (Concetta). Domenico will be fondly remembered and missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers at Villa Leonardo Gambin, all the medical staff and assistants at all the hospitals that took care of him and the dedication of the homecare staff.
