Mr. Donald James McCartney

Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, on Wednesday January 14, 2015, in his 82nd year. Dear son of the late William and Edythe McCartney. Predeceased by sister and brother-in-law Sheila and Clare Brown, Nephew Stephen Brown. Don was the loving Uncle to Andrew Brown (Zydana), Peter Brown (Mary). Great Uncle to Chantelle, Eric and Scot. Also survived by his cousin Thora Edwards. Don was a Litho-graphic printer, working at Regal Stationary Co. for many years. Don was a railroad enthusiast all of his life , He also enjoyed the boats that were used on the Great lakes, Muskoka, and Toronto Ferries which ran to the Island. He enjoyed collecting Postcards from across the country, and the world. He will be dearly missed!

Friends may call at the TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Monday January 19, 2015 from 11 :30 until time of the funeral service which will be held in the chapel at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada, or Sunnybrook Research Foundation.
