I was deeply sad to hear the passing of Dora.Dora was a great lady and my Nana's best friend.When my Nana Muriel passed Dora and I became closer and stayed in contact,she was just like another Nana to me.
Dora will be truly missed by me and will not be forgotten,they are all together again now,Nana,Papa and Fred,Dora.

Joanne, Ron & Rick - So sorry to hear about the death of Aunt Dora.  She was always so sweet to keep in touch with our family over the past 10 years since our mother, Dorothy, died.  It was nice to be able to view the pictures of her enjoying the grandchildren.  Lots of great memories for them.  We were away at the cottage until now, so could not attend the service.  Hope you will try to keep in touch.  Janis & John DeSipio, Don & Conni McWhinnie and families.

Dear Joanne, Ron and Rick, I grew up as your neighbour at 108 Phillip Avenue, (Karen Wilson) So sorry to hear about your Mom, I cannot be there for you today, but know that my my thoughts are with you all. I remember your Mom consoling me when my Mom passed away in 1966. Keep smiling and know that she and your Dad are watching over you. Aunt Dora was warm hearted and so generous. She always had something to send up to us and drop off to us. . .little things from the church rummage that she thought I would like, a peice of music they had sung in church on a Sunday or a little "gee-gaw that the ladies had made for their church bazaar.  She gave of herself to so many things especailly when it concerned her children and grand-children and the extended family of siblings and nieces and nephews. There was always some pie or a dessert that she wanted to try out at the family gatherings. 

I will miss her tremendolusly as she opened her home and heart to me.  I know that she is with Uncle Fred, her soul-mate in life and now in heaven. Aunt Dora is without pain and at peace.  

We send our love to Joanne, Ron and Rick and their families and know that we keep all of you in our hearts and prayers

It's very obvious why our Aunt Muriel had a 65 year friendship with Dora... she was a kind, caring, intelligent & knowledgeable lady who always made you feel comfortable in her presence.  The two "gals" can once again resume their 5, 6, 7 or more daily conversations with Fred & Russ trying to get a word in!!

I will always remember Aunt Dora's cute litte laugh, her strong family values and her comical conversations.  I remember going to see her just so she could show me how to carry different colours of wool in a knitting pattern.  She was a patient teacher.  Whenever I pick up my knitting needles or crochet hook, I will fondly remember my Aunt Dora.

Aunt Dora has many good people to welcome her at Heaven's Gate; dear Uncle Fred, and her brothers, my dad Ivan, Uncle Ab, Uncle Jack, Uncle Garnet, Uncle Les and Uncle Joe, Grandma & Grandpa, and so many other family members and friends.  I hope knowing this brings you some comfort.
