Words fail to express my deep sorrow for your loss.
I am so honored I was able to get to know Eugine during his remarkable life.
He exemplified kindness, loyalty, ambition, love for his family, hard working, and self-lessness.
Many times he would boast about how proud he was of his daughters, Ashley and Vanessa.
I could see how driven he was to always take care of his family.
Eugine certainly left a lasting legacy. He touched so many lives  during his lifetime that he should have written a book about this. 
Yes, he has accomplished more in life fulfilling his aspirations,  touching everyone's lives through his journey.  I don't think he knew how much so.  He will be truly missed.

Ashley, Vanessa and Shirley , just remember that the love for Eugine will never go away but continue to live in your hearts.

Saying goodbye to my uncle Eugine is something I’m still trying to process. He meant so much more to me than just family , he was my role model, someone I looked up to my entire life, and someone who helped shape the person I am today.

He moved like a big boss in every sense. From the rings he wore to the confidence he carried, there was always a presence about him you couldn’t ignore. But what made him truly special wasn’t just how he looked , it was how he took care of people.

He looked after all his siblings, and most importantly, all of us , their kids like we were his own. He made every one of us feel important. Whether it was his life lectures, checking in on us, asking about school and our report cards, or just being there when times weren’t good… he always showed up.

Growing up, we have so many memories, but I’ll never forget the small moments. The times I’d sleep over and he’d make sure I ate, that I was good and comfortable. He’d have Vanessa and Ashley take me out to do something fun. He even gave me my first driving lessons, letting me sit on his lap and showing me how to drive. He always gave me props when he saw me. His name alone carried weight , my mom would even use it as a scare tactic when I was being a bad kid. That kind of respect says everything. I remember him always having a pocket full of cash — the way he moved was so cool to me, and it made me want to grow up and be a strong man like him.

He taught me how to be a good man, how to take care of myself, how to move smart, and most importantly, how to be a true family man , always taking care of your people.

He was a real hustler. He worked hard and built a foundation for our family that we all stand on today.

Without him, things won’t feel the same. But his lessons, his values, and his presence live on through us.

I’m forever grateful.
We love you, Uncle Eugine. You’ll always be missed and never forgotten

In Loving Memory of Eugene

Eugene… it’s hard to even write this, because part of me still expects to hear from you. You weren’t just someone in my life — you were part of my routine, part of my days, part of the moments that now feel a little quieter without you.

You had this way of showing up that I don’t think I ever fully appreciated until now. No matter what was going on, I knew I could call you. And you’d answer. Not sometimes — every time. No questions, no hesitation. Just you being there, like you always were.

You didn’t need to say much to make things better. Sometimes it was just your presence, your calm, or even just sitting there in silence that made everything feel manageable. And then other times, it was your humour — the kind that caught me off guard and made things feel normal again, even on the worst days.

You remembered things most people wouldn’t. The small details, the random conversations, the things that mattered to me even when I didn’t say they did. That’s who you were — someone who paid attention, someone who cared in a real way.

I keep thinking about all the times you said “I got you.” At the time, it felt simple. Now I realize how much that actually meant. You weren’t just saying it — you lived it. And I don’t think I’ll ever hear those words the same way again.

Losing you feels like losing a part of my everyday life. There’s a space now that nothing really fills. Just moments where I catch myself thinking I should text you, or call you, and then remembering I can’t.

But I know this — who you were doesn’t just disappear. It stays with me. In the way I show up for people, in the way I try to be there the way you were for me. That’s something I carry forward because of you.

Rest easy, Eugene.
I’m going to miss you more than I can put into words. Thank you for being my friend, for always being there, and for being someone I could count on no matter what.  You will live in my heart forever till we meet again on the other side.

Dear Shirley, Vanessa and Ashley, I was so sorry hear about Eugine. Being a “choir loft” boy with Eugine, we spent many a Sunday sitting by each other’s side. I couldn’t hear him sing, probably my hearing, but he was always  there. 
I will miss Eugine. 
I can’t imagine your pain right now.

Appa, you were taken from us far too soon. But you lived more in your 64 years than most do in a lifetime. You led with your heart and made sure everyone around was taken care, even before yourself. You will be remembered and honored every day. Thank you for everything.

I love you, Appa, so so much.  I miss you every single day.  I miss the sound of your laugh. I miss your really loud sneeze. I miss your cooking. I miss your whatsapp messages wishing me a "Happy Monday". There is a void in my heart that will never be filled. I pray that you are in heaven resting in peace. We share a long journey filled with incidents, experiences combined of memories which I will cherish forever.Early to mid 90’s we spent a lot of time together. As life moved on we kept in touch and maintained our love and friendship. Our last conversation continues to echo in my mind over and over again.
You were an authentic, genuine and caring person whom I could always count on. 
I miss you my brother and till we meet again  !!!!
