Dorothy June Markle

Serenaded by music, Dorothy passed away peacefully on Sunday April 29th; reunited with our father John Henry (April 7th 2017).

We were blessed to have such a kind, gentle, strong and fun mother whose faith helped guide her. She was always quick to share her beautiful smile and sense of humour. We could count on her wise advice, delicious baking, homemade jams and well-done beef.

Dorothy was generous with her time, volunteering in many community activities. She was a lifetime member of St John's CWL, Toronto Historical Society and Scarboro Missions Auxiliary. She was an east ender, sports fan, bowler, curler and proud Canadian.

She will be missed by her children Paul, John (Mary), Peter (Pam), Dorothy (Emil), David (Debbie), and Ann Marie, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church, 794 Kingston Road, Toronto on Wednesday May 9th at 11 am. Burial to follow at Mt Peace Cemetery Mississauga
