Edi Petrucci

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Edi Petrucci. He was born February 6, 1964, in Toronto, Ontario, and he passed unexpectedly at work on August 19, 2026, at the age of 62. He is survived by his only son, Salvatore, his mother, Rosa, as well as his siblings, Linda, Giuliano, and Nicola. He was an uncle to Desahrai, Rosemary, Giuliano, Sophia, and Zezo. He is preceded by his father, Vincenzo.

He was a beloved member of the Brotherhood of the IBEW, with a lifelong career as an electrician. He shared his trade with friends often helping them out with home renovations. He played golf with his friends as often as he could find a tee time with them.

He is fondly remembered as a provider, who could be found BBQing to feed his loved ones at family gatherings. As a father, he spent a lot of time playing basketball, volleyball, and going skating with his son and regularly attended his soccer games. Edi had a love of sports, both playing and watching them as he was a lifelong fan of Toronto sports teams. Go Leaf's Go.

Details regarding memorial service and celebration of life are to come, but people are encouraged to light a candle in remembrance at St Philip Neri Catholic Church and to share memories, stories, and photos.
