Edward “Ted” Chandler passed away peacefully on April 17, 2018, just five days after his 93rd birthday. He is predeceased by his loving wife Bernice. Ted will be greatly missed by his three children Rick, Darlene, Craig, and daughter-in-law Joy. Loving grandfather of Brent (Baillie), Ashley (Chris), and Britney (Eddie), and great-grandfather of Maddie and Gavin. Lovingly remembered by his companion, Velma. Ted served the city of Scarborough as a member of the Scarborough Fire Department for 37 years, and proudly held the title of District Chief (seniority #19). Prior to working as a firefighter, Ted was an honoured World War Two veteran and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 258. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 12pm-2pm at JERRETT FUNERAL HOME (660 Kennedy Rd. Scarborough), followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2pm. Donations in memory of Edward may be made to the Pilot Place Society.
