Enid was born in Northampton, England, on August 15, 1925, to the late William Harris and Agnes Harris (née Douglas).
Enid shared 53 loving years of marriage with her beloved husband, (John) Jack Freeman, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her brother, Roy Harris, and her sister, Jean Collier.
Enid will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jacqueline (Ronald) and Robert (Solange); her cherished grandchildren, Lili (Mike), David (Cheryl), Darryl (Krista), and Justin (Erin); and her adored great-grandchildren, Monique, Bryanna, El, Caitlyn, Ava, Jade, and Logan.
Her passing leaves an aching void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her spirit, however, will live on through the countless memories we shared together. We will forever cherish the laughter, love, and joy she brought into our lives.
Enid lived life to the fullest and was always on the go. She enjoyed golfing, attending exercise classes, line dancing, the opera, and the ballet. Her favourite place in the world was Evergreen Lodge on Lake Huron, where she created many treasured memories. She was also an avid reader, a talented gardener, and someone who loved unconditionally.
The family sincerely appreciates the prayers, kindness, and support shown during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Enid’s memory may be made to The War Amps, Doctors Without Borders, or the Toronto SPCA.
