On October 2, 2026, Heaven’s gates opened to lovingly embrace Evelyn Sinanansingh, the beloved matriarch of her family, at the remarkable age of 99. Born on September 8, 1927, in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago, Evelyn lived a long and beautiful life centered around the people she loved most.
After many years apart, Evelyn is finally reunited with her beloved husband, Roodal, who passed away in 1991, as well as her cherished son, Gerard.
Evelyn will be deeply missed by her loving children, Cheryl (the late Kenneth), Marilyn, Richard (Rose), Diane (Roman), and Lester (Kathy). She will also be lovingly remembered by her late son Gerard’s wife, Marlyne. She was a beloved grandmother to Ian, Jason, Andy, Justin, Janelle, Andrea, Kyle, Michael, and Kurtis, and a proud great-grandmother to nine beautiful great-grandchildren. She felt incredibly blessed to have been a part of their lives and to watch her family continue to grow through the generations.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her cherished siblings, Clinton, Sybil, and Myrtle “Doll,” along with her extended family and all those whose lives she touched throughout her many years.
As the beloved matriarch of her family, Evelyn was a source of love, strength, and togetherness for the generations that followed her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially completing crosswords and puzzles, but nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by her family. To see her children grow, to become a grandmother, and eventually a great-grandmother was among her greatest blessings.
After 99 remarkable years, Evelyn leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family and love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and generations to come. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love, memories, and traditions she leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
May she rest peacefully, reunited once again with those she loved and missed so dearly.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
