Finisia was born on October 31, 1931, in Sartano, Calabria, Italy, and passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, in Toronto.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Cesare, after being apart for 11 years, as well as with her loving parents and cherished siblings who predeceased her. While we find comfort in knowing they are together again, she leaves behind her beloved sister, Vanda (the late Antonio).
Finisia was the devoted and loving mother of Anna (the late Oz), Francesca (Ross), and Renato (Stacey). She was also a proud and devoted Nonna to Carla (Claudio), Giulia, Angelina, and Sabrina, and a cherished Bisnonna to Selena, Daniela, and Anthony, whose lives brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews, whose lives she touched with her kindness, generosity and unwavering love.
Finisia will forever be remembered for the deep love she had for her family. She was happiest when everyone gathered around her table to enjoy her delicious Italian meals, especially her maccaruni and melanzane ripiene. An avid gardener with a true green thumb, she found great joy in tending to her vegetable garden, caring for her beautiful flowers and for her love of music.
