She has been reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Franco.
Loving mother to Gabriel(Deborah) Franca ( Luciano predeceased) Sandra (John) Devoted and cherished Nonna to Andrea ( Nick), Alex ( Sarah), Michael (Kara), Christine (Vince), Lauren and Madeline. Bisnonna to Marcus, Matteo, Gabriella and Giacomo.
Born in Celico, Cosenza, she came to Canada as a young woman with the courage and hope to begin a new life. Widowed at a young age, she faced the challenges of raising her three children on her own with remarkable strength and resilience. She devoted her life to her family, making sure her children knew they were loved, supported, and never alone.
Her faith was an important part of who she was. She was a deeply religious and spiritual woman who found comfort and strength in her relationship with God and in her church community. She believed strongly in the importance of family and friendship, and her home was always a place where people felt welcome.
She took great pride in her family and cherished the many memories created together. She loved to travel and, perhaps most of all, she loved to share her stories. Whether recounting memories of Italy, her early years in Canada, or moments from her family’s life, she had a way of bringing the past alive and making everyone feel part of her story.
She was loved not only by her family, but by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, generosity, humour, faith, and strength left a lasting impression on everyone around her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her lessons, traditions, stories, recipes, faith, and the love she gave so freely will live on in each generation.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of God, reunited with those who went before her. Her journey began in Italy, continued in Canada, and touched countless lives along the way. Her greatest journey, however, was the love she gave to her family—and that love will never end.
