Giovanna Basso

Giovanna was born July 21,1934 in France, and raised in Azzano Decimo Italy, to parents Giovanni and Rosina Tavella.

Giovanna will be joining the love of her life, her husband Tranquillo, in Heaven. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Mara (Antonio). Grandmother to Amanda (Andrew). May she be the guardian angel to her great-grandson Mateo. Giovanna will be missed by her siblings Renee and Gabriella, and her many nephews and nieces.

Giovanna will be greatly missed by all of her extended family, friends and all who knew her. The family would like to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers at this time.

As she ascends to a tranquil place may she leave us all with her lasting legacy of fashion, faith, boldness, and loyalty.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Delmoro Funeral Home, located at 61 Beverly Hills Road, Toronto, Ontario. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, followed by entombment at Beechwood Cemetery.
