Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in his 79th year, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved husband of Florence “Myra,” proud father to Robin (Carol), Leela (Ron), Doy (Vidya), Barry (Maureen) and Dave. Loving Grandfather of Kevin (Nina), Leilani, Ryan, Sheena, Sean, Kiara and Tristan. Cherished Great-Grandfather to Ethan and Teryn. He will be dearly missed by surviving brothers, sisters-in-law, many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Harry was born and raised in Trinidad and immigrated to Toronto in 1973. Many thanks to the staff at Saint Elizabeth Health Care, CCAC and TransCare for all their attention and support. Friends and family may call at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough on Friday from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 9:30am., followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated.
