

Harry John Freel, age 75 of Toronto and born in Glasgow, Scotland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at his home. He was the son of the late Henry, (Harry), and Teresa Freel. (nee Mooney)Harry emigrated to Canada with his family in 1966 where he was employed by National Life Assurance Company of Canada for most of his career.
Throughout his life Harry was a kind, generous and thoughtful person. In addition to his volunteer work at Holy Cross, he cared for the needs of his twin brother, Gerard James, (Gerry), and sister Dorothy Ann, both of whom have predeceased him. Harry is survived by his brothers David and Michael.
In keeping with Harry’s wishes there will be a private family church and graveside service. Harry will rest alongside his twin brother Gerard at Pine Hills Cemetery, Toronto.
